New viv is complete!
•August 12, 2008 • Leave a CommentWoop! Ive just finished building my viv (vivarium: reptile enclosure) which is 10′ x 3′ x 2′ ! Yes those measurements are in feet! Totalling 60cubic feet it’s easily the biggest viv I’ve built to date. It’s going to house a couple of new snakes..
Female is about 15ft and the male is 10ft ish, and I’m getting them on Sunday! I’m not going to lie, im very excited!
I will put pictures up of all snakes and vivs when I get home from work, which is very boring btw!

Audiences et al
•March 10, 2008 • Leave a CommentSo, for our audiences project we have to create a flash-based animation of 1-2 minutes. I have decided to make a game, ambitious though it may seem it actually appeals to my technical side, as I will have to learn and do loads of actionscript, and significantly fewer terrible drawings. So Far my game is coming along nicely, you can see the current working version online at http://www.badlydeveloped.com/gath/hardsassignment/game.html
My most recent victory was working out how to do the health bar, and get it to decrease or increase automatically, depending on certain events in game. Now my next obstacle is working out how to randomly generate objects, and give each object a different attribute! :S
On the non-Uni-based academic side, I have been building a website for a charity, www.marcch.org. Marcch – Medical Aid and Relief for the Children of Chechnya, a great cause but as you can see their current website is a little out dated. You can see my current work at www.badlydeveloped.com/marcch
As for things outside of my mac, its raining, and hard.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Narrative…
•January 9, 2008 • Leave a CommentHappy new year to everyone, I spent my new years eve at home…., having a house party! But now its back to work, and to the narratives assignment. I have now completed a Gantt Chart along with its precedence table, and I have the backbone of the website complete.
Now all is needed is some media to add to the website, some visual funk and we’ll be sailing. I have also recently taken on a jobre-designing another website for a family friend. I’m sure this will help me improve my skills and to earn a bit of money while doing so. I’m looking forward to this new term, and for the first time in my life im actually looking forward to doing work of the educational variety!
First Narratives Meeting
•December 5, 2007 • Leave a CommentThere’s only 2 of us here so…
If you don’t agree with these just let us know and we can change them!
Dave – PHP & HTML etc…
Matt – Visual Web Design
Brian – Photoshop & Creative Imagery
Karin – Video and Audio Editing
Brian and I have though that Hansel and Gretel may be a good choice for our narrative, as its a funny and dark/mysterious original story and could be manipulated to our wishes…
Or, We could do the three little pigs as this gives us 3 different ways of telling the same story etc.
For next meeting :
Gantt Chart
Who is the production manager?
Confirm roles
Idea’s for scripts – Not just hansel and gretel or 3 pigs, any fairytale if you have a good idea!
Next meeting – Friday at 2PM!
Narratives…
•December 4, 2007 • Leave a CommentAnd into our second assignment – Narratives. This basically involves us getting into groups of 4 or 5 and adapting a fairy tale, and making it interactive. Hansel and Gretel
Snow White
